The Trinidad & Tobago Publishers and Broadcasters Association (TTPBA) is pleased to announce the winners of its Essay Competition held recently in commemoration of World Press Freedom Day.
All Secondary School students were invited to write an essay on “The Role of Media in Society” for the opportunity to win a laptop.The TTPBA would like to thank its partners in this undertaking, TSTT and School of Business and Computer Science, for helping to make it such a success.
Over two hundred essays were received from students across the country, including Tobago.The essays were examined by a first round of judges, comprising Executive Board Members of the TTPBA, and the finalists passed on to Mr. Kenneth Gordon and Ms. Sunity Maharaj for final judging.
The ten winners of the TTPBA Essay Writing Competition are:
