TTPBA, in collaboration with Huawei will host one of the media industry’s most prestigious and long standing awards ceremonies on Thursday 6^th December 2018 at Jaffa at the Oval.  This event allows the Association to pay tribute to pioneers in the media industry who have contributed significantly to its growth, development and sustainability.

This year, a new award is being introduced: The Community Excellence Award, which will showcase the contribution of a non-profit entity for its pioneering social work towards creating positivity within our national community.  This initiative was spurred by the TTPBA’s involvement in the SafeCommuniTT project which was conceptualized by the US Embassy in Trinidad & Tobago.  “It is very encouraging to see the quality and quantity of work being done by several of our nations non-profits.  Their contribution very often goes unnoticed but tells the stories of resilience, commitment to community and belief in each other and our country.  The TTPBA is very proud to recognize such organisations and to let them know that their role is appreciated” says, TTPBA President, Ms. Kiran Maharaj.
